Oh Bella Mia!

I sort of made a New Year's Resolution to only use what I had in the crafting/stamping/scraping department. Well, in keeping with that I ordered several of the things I had been coveting the week between Christmas and New Year's so that I could have the goodies without breaking my nifty resolution. (I've decided not to delve too deeply into my psyche in fear of how messed up that really sounds LOL!!) So first my new Scor-Pal arrived, then a few things from Lizzie Anne Designs, a few tidbits from My Favorite Things and then my very own Bella arrived! I had ordered teachaBella, a cute little "love" doodle and some em-Bella-shments but when I opened the first of the two envelopes that arrived it was someone else's order. I opened the second envelope and found my order. I called Stamping Bella and explained what was going on to Em, (the Em of Stamping Bella!) and was allowed to keep the Bella's I liked and send back what I didn't want! What a very generous sweetheart Em is! We had a great conversation about stamping, markers, cool blogs to check out, and just stuff. She sounds like a great person. I'll post the cool blogs tomorrow.

Here is the first card I made with my new Cruisabella (Thanks again to Em!). To use the vernacular of my students, I tried to "pimp" her ride with some "bling". The paper is from Memory Makers and the flowers are from an old arrangement I was thinking had seen better days. I have a strong feeling you may be seeing more of those flowers. I used two of the em-Bella-shments to augment the headlights and a Sakura glitter pen to trace the car.

A brief update on FlyLady...

Well, my sink doesn't shine but it is clean. My clothes are ready for tomorrow and yesterday, I spent 15 minutes cleaning out the junk drawer in my kitchen and I did a load of laundry without waiting for the hamper to overflow. I think my husband is worried aliens have abducted his wife and left me in her place. I don't know how long this will last but for now, I feel a little more like I am Queen of my Castle!

ADORE the purples with the gray. And that is a sublime new year's resolution. Great idea--I'll have to do that too! Hmmmm scorepal... must get that before making do with what I have, heehee :0) Mel

Your bella card looks great! I just got my first bellas- I got the teachabella as well, and also got the billboardabella- thought that would cute and repeatedly useful. Have not had time to use them yet.

I am so happy for you that you feel like Queen of your Castle. Great feeling, isn't it? Remember the 2 cardinal rules of FLYing- you can do anything for 15 minutes, and it takes 30 days to build a habit. If you keep remembering these, and take baby steps, you'll be FLYing soon.

I guess I'm not spared the clown feet...I'm a hair less than 5' 10" and wear a 12. Eeegads. I remember being so embarrassed in jr. high because I wore an 11 then and I refused to ask the shoe salesmen for an 11...my mom had to do it for me. I wear Birkenstocks mostly, but it is getting easier now and then to find big shoes.

Love you Bella card. . .looks like she's having a blast cruizing in her new car! I want a new car too but not a purple one, maybe a brown one! LOL!

What a "cool" card! I have not broken in to the Bellas yet.

I never really got it together with FlyLady either. I think I should, but haven't yet.

You got a lot of stuff! I can't have that resolution since I need to collect more things. I've been stamping for a while but haven't been hoarding until lately on tools, so need to catch up.
