I think I am afraid. As I type this, my sink is clean and my clothes are ready for tomorrow. I threw out well over 27 things (I have seven large black Hefty bags sitting at my curb to prove it) today and have the Purple Heart coming on the 15th of the month for a pick-up of books, toys, and other "stuff".

What am I talking about? While reading LadyDoc's blog I noticed a little badge. SCS Flybaby Bloggers. Hmmm...what is this? Curious soul that I am I started clicking and clicking and ended up on

I like to think I am organized but the truth is I stink at it. I would more accurately call myself a master of reorganizing clutter. My most productive stamping and scrapping sessions are usually after I spend an hour or so cleaning up when the sad fact is if I had put things away after I used them, I wouldn't have such a mess and would be a lot more productive. Add to this my pack-rat tendencies and you get the picture.

Anyway, on FlyLady, there is a wealth of housecleaning and organizing tips. I do alright with the cleaning part (I just reorganize my clutter and clean under, over and around it) but would like to de-clutter in the worst way.

I'm not too sure the sink thing will husband usually does the dishes but as for the rest, I hope so!

Decluttering is a struggle for me. I'm not all that great on the general cleaning either! I'll check out the site. Thanks for the link.

Hey Lori, I checked out the link and read the "how to clean your sink" . . .I don't think so! LOL! If I clean it the way the site says I should, after I'm done, no one can put a single dish in the sink! I didn't work that hard to have someone mess it up! Too funny!

Thanks for sharing the site!

Hi Lori-

I have attempted FlyLady...It's a great program if you can stick to it. I just use some of her ideas and not the entire plan. Good Luck!

Lori-Could you please contact me via SCS? I can't find your information anymore for our RAK group nor can I find that you joined the Yahoo group...just let me know if I have missed something. Thanks!

TOO cool! Thanks for sharing this. I've discovered what the problem is for me: perfectionism. If I can't do it perfectly, I don't do it at all (haha.) Now, I'm trying to slap-dash some things together, so I don't procrastinate too much. :0) Mel

Hi, Lori! So glad you found Flylady! It has not cured everything, but it sure has made a big difference around here. I gotta tell you- once you get into the habit of laying out those clothes for school the night before, it becomes a compulsion- and a good one. Whatever else is still a mess in my house/life, getting ready for school in the AM is sooooo much easier now.

There are a few local Flylady groups around here, I belong to one that is a GREAT group of ladies- let me know if you want more info.

I'm so glad that you got something good from reading my blog!
